The best pet store ever also offers dog training classes! Percy, Jacques, and I worked with Elizabeth (left) at the Hoover/Lorna Road location, and now I am a PetSmart training instructor myself! Obedience classes are usually one night a week for eight weeks and cost $99, and we also have a fun class called Click-a-Trick where your dogs can learn all sorts of fun tricks like play dead, roll over, and high-five. There are classes for puppies and adult dogs alike. It's well worth it--fun for your pet, and a bonding experience for both of you. (And I'm not just saying that because I work there!) Potty training seminars, private sessions, and consultations are available as well. Please let me know if you're interested!

The Dog Whisperer!
Dog behaviorist and trainer Cesar Millan believes that a combination of exercise, discipline, and affection (in that order!) will help dogs live happy, balanced lives. The site includes information about Cesar's famous Dog Psychology Center in Los Angeles as well as an online store, where you can purchase the first season of his show from the National Geographic Channel, The Dog Whisperer, as well as his book, Cesar's Way, which I refer to often.

This is a great organization that offers agility classes, obedience training, flyball competitions (through the Bandits), and doggy daycare! Located in Pelham, AL, they also offer herding and tracking.

Top Dog Learning Center
TLC opened in Spring 2001 with a focus on agility classes and has since expanded to Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Testing. TLC is dedicated to the promotion and growth of dog training in the greater Birmingham area.
